Autumn Haiku
Haiku is my favorite kind of poetry to read. Elegant simplicity and often visual. Something I have always thought about trying; today's effort inspired by autumn leaves:
Transparent red leaves
Breezy staccato dancing
A sunlit routine
Potted gingko drops
Ten spiralling golden fans
Quietly landing
The rules are 5 syllables then 7 on the second line then 5 on the last line. (If I am write any kind of poetry - I think I need rules) They are usually observational and have a seasonal reference. They should also show -not tell.
